SEND
Shaw Hill School values the contribution that every child can make and welcomes the diversity of culture, religion and intellectual style. As a school we seek to raise achievement, remove barriers to learning and increase physical and curricular access for all. All children at Shaw Hill are valued, respected and equal members of the school. Provision for children with SEN is a matter for the whole school. All teachers are teachers of pupils with SEN. The Governing body, Head Teacher, Inclusion Manager and all other members of the staff – teaching and non-teaching – have important roles to play in creating an inclusive environment. Above all, Shaw Hill School aims to provide an atmosphere in which all children can reach their full potential through praise and encouragement and an acceptance of and sensitivity to the individual needs of all the children within the school.
